Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die I will stay awake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

I’ll leave behind all earthly cares,
God knows what I want to hear.
Come with me my precious son,
don’t think you are the only one.

Your loved ones await you patiently,
did you know they are here with me?
Like they before, you’re coming home,
you are free and if the truth be known.

I was always with you night and day,
‘though at times I seemed so far away.
You’ve always been my precious child,
I have guided you through many trials.

No longer will you go away,
this time you are here to stay.
With carefree mind and body light,
you’ll be with us this joyous night.
