Illumination
If a child were to ask me how a certain food tastes, could I adequately describe it? Or, must it be an individual experience? With this in mind, should I emulate the great Seers, such as but not limited to, Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna? Was their sole purpose to shed light on how we may bring the living presence of God into our thoughts and actions, as exemplified by their lives? Were they a connecting link between God and man? Were they Divine enough to know God and human enough to impart their knowing to man? Should I follow worldly people whose focus is on the perishable things of life? Can the spiritually blind lead the spiritually blind? Or, should I trust in those enlightened ones whose focus was on the imperishable? Should I fervently seek to embrace the spiritual path of the imperishable aspects of the source of lifeband light within me? Will this path eventually lead me to experience illumination for myself? Is illumination a matter of experiencing and expressing the blissful, healing, and guiding light within in order to unite ourselves with Divinity?
Am I similar to a light bulb without which electricity cannot be seen? Am I, therefore, an individual expression of God, who is my source of life and light? Am I connected to all other individual expressions of God by virtue of our commonly shared source of life and light? Are we, therefore, of one mind and indwelling spirit? When God’s light is no longer able to shine through my eventually to be abandoned bodily abode, is it conceivable He and/or I will cease to exist? Or, will the immortal consciousness of my Soul assume a finer form of visible expression and return to Him within the bliss of the paradisiacal Promised Land?
